i read this book as part of an arc program. This is a book in the Ireland Forever series written by a variety of authors. In this book, Madeline goes to Ireland to get over her ex, who she learned was after her money and cheating on her. Madeline was invited by a friend of the promoter of the Blackthorn concert and was given the VIP treatment and staying at the Cosgrave Castle. While Madeline was exploring the estate, she came across a man in a kilt chopping wood. The man was attractive and Madeline found herself being drawn to him. Gerry was chopping wood to relieve stress and when Madeline appeared, he thought she was attractive. They had a connection and things were getting heated until Madeline pulled away and ran. Gerry thought she was sent by his lawyer to get him to realize he needed to move on from his ex-wife. When Gerry saw Madeline again in the pub while he was with his lawyer, he realized the mistake and wanted to see her again. Gerry knew their connection was real and he knew he had to explore things with Madeline. I liked this story. I thought Gerry was a good guy, but he was recovering from being hurt by his ex-wife, he was also unaware Madeline was hurt in a similar way. They had to take a chance on each other and learn to trust again. Good one.

She needs to get away for some R&R so when her friend suggests she meet her on her vacation in Ireland, she decides to tag along. Gerry is the heir to a huge textile family business and married his gold digger. After just a year the viper showed her true colors & now he's embattled in a divorce while trying not to let her take him to the cleaners. Madeline & Gerry have a chance, magical, steamy meeting in the garden that is cut short when Madeline comes out of her lusty haze. Another chance meeting at a pub in town has Gerry asking for forgiveness of a misunderstanding & Them spending time together where the sparks fly. Give me a sexy Irishman in a kilt and it looks like I'm all in. Romance and a HEA. Good stuff!The Ireland Forever Short Stories are a themed collaborative by multiple authors. This is a fun, romantic short story. Madeline goes to Ireland to get away from her ex, who was only going to marry her for her money and had a girlfriend on the side. She bumps into Gerry, who is trying to divorce his gold digging wife. The chemistry is hot but can they solve their problems with their ex's and start a relationship together or are they too afraid to move forward and put their past behind them?IA definite must read. I adored this one, Fiona Starr has fast become an author I can’t wait to read, she brings us sweet and steamy with a great story to match. Madeline and Gerry have both been hurt before and what’s the old adage say, once bitten twice shy, what happens when it’s both bitten, does that make it twice, twice as shy? Mmm one to ponder, I adored the misunderstandings and dramas in this one. Don’t miss it, in fact don’t miss the whole series.
