How To Architect is an enjoyable read for anyone interested in architecture, and also an uplifting and helpful read for anyone on the path to pursuing this field. This is a book all design students should read early-on. How To Architect provides a realistic account on both architecture schooling and architecture as a profession. I am going to graduate school next year and found this book to do a wonderful job of identifying the potentially disjointed journey of architecture, while simultaneously reaffirming the interests of those in this path... It would be impossible for those truly interested to not fly through this with pleasure.Most of all, I found the book to be refreshingly relatable. Mr.Patt did a fantastic job of giving an overview of topics and figures- enough to provoke thought for those familiar with them, and to properly introduce them to those unfamiliar. Great book for all!
This little handbook is really for any Design-minded artisan or design professional. As an illustrator, I pulled a lot of great insight into designing form the book. The illustrations and images are brilliant. Very much just "bla, bla, bla" as the author seemingly tries to write on every letter of the alphabet (one chapter per letter).I love Patt's stuff on the Internet, though not so much this book.

I must say this book was well put together. Anyone can pick up this book and have a basic understanding of how architecture is and what are the different roles an architect has.
Great book ! I recommend it for all the professionals and the field and the ones that wish to approach this branch. It is very well explained and illustrated.
