Eric Carle is acclaimed and beloved as the creator of brilliantly illustrated and innovatively designed picture books for very young children. Cute flip book for learning colors. It is a nice size for little hands and of course the art is great.
This book of colors is okay, but it doesn't dazzle my 19 month old granddaughter. Half of thepages in this little book has a solid color on it, and the other half has pictures of items of various colors.Child is suppose to match the top half with the lower half of the page. Although she wouldn'teven look at it in the beginning, she will occasionally do so. But if I help her match onecolor, that is it. Somehow, it hasn't been well received. It is a different type of board book,but all other books are exciting to my grandchild. Parents, I'd look for another book of colors.
The pages of this book are split in half so your child can match the color to the picture. The only problem is that the pages aren't as thick as normal board books so they don't hold up as well. On the plus side though, the pages are very easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth or a baby wipe.
I've bought this book twice over the last decade, one for each child and they both have loved it. It's a nice teaching tool for colors and is simple for the little ones to flip through and explore. Its a board book so its reasonably sturdy for most kids, but keep an eye since it can still be ripped apart.
Awesome! The books pages are cut in half. As the bottom pages are flipped to display a picture, the top half of the books pages can be flipped also to find a color that matches the pictures. Works great!
Can't wait till my little one is old enough to turn the pages. Each page is split top to bottom and you flip through the book to match up the colors. Nice and sturdy.
The name is my FIRST color book but instead it wants them to match color with picture, making bottom page and top pages flippable (annoying) and start with color blue and a yellow lemon and then you have to hunt item to match. Not for FIRST color book....maybe later.
My daughter doesn't have it figured out yet. The top says one thing and the bottom doesn't match it. She will grow into it. Just needs help with it. Better if she was a little older.
I didn’t realize this book would have two different levels - one for colors and one to match objects. It is all right and my son is learning how to identify how to use. Although the ‘many colors’ option is just kind of confusing for a young kid learning their colors.
